First Aid Services

The Grammar School has a qualified nurse on duty throughout the school day and at functions organised by the school. 

• Giving first aid in case of injuries sustained at School
• Computerising confidential information provided by parents on the students’ health forms for use in an emergency or if medication is required
• Monitoring student health in general and noting diagnosed illnesses or operations
• Receiving and registering telephone calls from parents concerning student absences due to medical reasons
• Receiving and recording doctor and parent notes for excused absences 

• All visits to the nurse are recorded 
• Students must obtain permission from the nurse to leave the school premises in case of illness 
• Students should not arrange to be collected by their parents unless this permission is granted
• If a child seems unwell, it is advisable to keep him/her at home
